Digital Camera

A digital camera (or digicam for short) is a camera that takes video or still photographs, or both, digitally by recording images via an electronic image sensor.

Many compact digital still cameras can record sound and moving video as well as still photographs. In the Western market, digital cameras outsell their 35&_160;mm film counterparts.

Digital cameras can do things film cameras cannot displaying images on a screen immediately after they are recorded, storing thousands of images on a single small memory device, recording video with sound, and deleting images to free storage space.

Digital cameras are incorporated into many devices ranging from PDAs and mobile phones (called camera phones) to vehicles. The Hubble Space Telescope and other astronomical devices are essentially specialized digital cameras.

The Five Most Important Digital Camera Features

The Best Summary about Digital Camera by Chris Campbell

Think thin. Measuring under 5/8″ thin, the ultra-chic Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T90 Digital Camera is perfect for stashing in your pocket or a small purse. But the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T90 Digital Camera doesn’t just impress on the outside. Built into its compact body are powerful features that make taking great pictures a cinch. Not sure which mode to use at sunset or when shooting sporting events? The iAuto mode does the work for you. It automatically adjusts the settings for fantastic results no matter what you’re shooting or where you are. There’s also Face Detection mode for capturing subtle detail and natural skin tones in faces. And when still photos aren’t enough, you can record HD video clips (720p) and play it back on the 3 touch screen LCD. Available in silver, black, pink, blue and brown.

Looking for the digital camera that suits you best can be hard. There are a lot of manufacturers and models on the market, each with their own set of features. It can get distracting when you try to find the one that will suit your needs best. Size Matters. If you’re looking for a camera that you can carry around, you obviously need one that is portable, not too heavy or bulky. Being comfortable while keeping the camera steady is also important. What’s the resolution. The bigger the resolution, the more you can do with the photos you take. They will be clearer and you will be able to increase certain details without losing any quality. If you want your photos to have high quality, you should buy a high resolution digital camera.

The Optical Zoom.  Pick a camera that has a good optical zoom. Bigger is better in this case. In most cases, cameras will have both optical and digital zoom. Always choose based on the optical zoom, not on the digital one. The optical zoom will bring the target closer, by using the lenses, instead of using software, which happens with digital zoom.

Battery life.  Digital cameras will drain the battery quite fast. You should check and see if there is the possibility of using rechargeable batteries. It’s cheaper and more convenient, using batteries that are rechargeable. Another option is a digital camera that has an AC adaptor. Storage memory. Make sure you buy plenty of storage memory, especially if you intend to make a lot of high resolution pictures. Check if you can add some extra memory through a memory card slot. It would be a shame to realize that your memory card is full while you’re in the middle of your vacation.

Tips for Finding The Best Small Digital Cameras

The Best Summary about Digital Small by Ralphy Jarvis

Small Camera

Small Camera

It seems that cameras are getting smaller while not having to give up picture size and memory. Many of these small digital cameras have the same features the larger ones do, but are far easier to carry around.

It’s not that I don’t think small digital cameras will work as well or take the same great pictures. A lot of my friends have the small digital cameras, and they say that they love them. I still fear losing one, but they are quite appealing. I have also noticed that the small digital cameras can take the same quality pictures as mine will take, so I would guess that the small camera is the wave of the future.

If you do decide to go with small digital cameras the next time you buy, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Also remember that even though you can easily slip them into your purse, you might still want to get a camera bag to protect your camera. If you can’t find a bag made especially for small digital cameras, you can find something that works for another electronic device of similar size.
